Recognizing Leadership for a Healthier America

The Health Care for Tomorrow educational scholarship was established in response to federal cuts for education programs and student loan interest modifications. The cost of medical education in the United States is escalating and many students are finding it harder and harder to finance higher education. Heath Care for Tomorrow supports students who are committed to dedicating their lives to the service of others.

Health Care for Tomorrow provides educational scholarship for medical and nursing students who plan to serve and dedicate their careers helping underserved communities. Students seeking a scholarship must be in good standing with their institution and have demonstrated a history of community involvement. Scholarships will be awarded to those students who show significant promise in making a difference in the lives of vulnerable populations upon graduation.

Scholarship Requirements:

  • Students must be currently attending a fully accredited medical school or nursing program within the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Applicants should demonstrate strong academic performance, some work experience, a track record of leadership, and a strong commitment to helping vulnerable populations.
  • Applicants must write a comprehensive essay about themselves and their plans upon graduating from their medical program. For medical students, please include both residency and post-residency plans.
  • Applicants must provide proof of school enrollment and good standing. This may be in the form of transcripts or a Dean Letter.

Students should have clear goals about what they want to accomplish in life, and should have begun preparing for this work. Their goals must be related to the betterment of vulnerable patient populations and underserved communities. Progress toward accomplishing a goal may be demonstrated by study, work, volunteerism, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, and letters of recommendation.

Our scholarship program operates nationwide. Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000. Scholarships are awarded on merit and on the basis of the students we feel will most likely improve the lives of those in underserved communities and those representing vulnerable patient populations. Scholarships are highly competitive, with only the most promising applicants receiving awards.
